Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,
That we should be called the sons (daughters) of God.
WHAT IS LOVE?
The Merriam-Webster dictionary states – love is a strong or constant feeling!! Example – mother or fatherly love.
There are different kinds of love – Love for a spouse – love for our children – love for a friend – love for a pet – love for something that means very much to us – love for our country – romantic love; which the month of February portrays; But the most INCREDIBLE and AMAZING love, is God’s love for us, His children.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
This love is not measurable by any man’s perspective. No one can ever out love the Lord. He left His royal throne and kingly crown, to be born as a babe on this earth in a lowly manger stall. To be subjected to this sin filled world. To suffer and die on a cruel cross for humanity. Now that is INCREDIBLE LOVE.
"He gave His all!! He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed!" Isaiah 53:5.
Can you think of a love superior to that?
Even though there are wonderful stories of human love and sacrifice, nothing can compare to the wonderful love of Jesus. There are not enough words to describe the INCREDIBLE LOVE OF GOD!!
